National Limousine Association

Notable for Its Politics To Rescind The Gas Guzzler Tax Applied To Luxury Stretch Limousines Under The Mantra Of Fairness

The NLA Is Managed By Bobit Publishing Owner Of Limousine Charter Transportation Magazine Which Is Known For Awarding Its' So-Called Industry "Operator-Of-The-Year Awards" To NLA Insiders, Directors & Presidents

Short On Consumer Protection & Long On Cartel Building

The NLA

with a membership of approximately 2,000 makes claim of representing the estimated 18,000 limousine operations throughout the US. Of the 2,000 members only a very small handful is engaged in activism to sway political & public opinions as evident by the same faces & names appearing in limousine trade newsletters & magazines.

These few are based in the larger metro areas with many operating as semi-quasi taxicab operations concentrating more on sedan airport services then the traditional stretch operations providing wedding, prom, funeral, night on the town & special event transportation.

As larger metro operators and in concert with the taxicab industry, Florida NLA members (2 of the NLA Board are based in South Fl) support local regulators in restricting free trade & competition which has a negative effect on the transportation services & consumers based outside of the metro areas.

One of FITA's goals is to remind the business community &  metro politicos  is that the metro operators DO NOT transport into their cities the consumers patronizing the businesses of that city. It is the services on the outside bringing money into their jurisdicition.

Neither The NLA or TLPA Platform Is Protecting The Consumer's Right To Travel In Florida!

Their Platform Is To Sell The Consumer A Bill Of Goods That Transportation Services Displaying The NLA or TLPA Logo Is Somehow Superior To Those Motor Carriers Who Opt Out.

Reality Check Is

The Vast Majority Of Motor Carriers That Join These Organizations Do So Just To Fly The Logos On Their Ads As In Legitimizing Their Business.

Boycott Supporters Of Anti-Trade Regulations

Boycott The NLA Logo

Federal & State Regulators Of The Passenger Transportation Industry Is Geared Primarily Towards Safety.

Local Regulators Are Geared Towards Market Entry Restrictions, Protectionism & Economic Regulatory Controls.

The TLPA Primary Mission Is To Keep Regulation On The Local Level.

Any Guesses Why?
